Itinerary :
You will enter the Acropolis Hill from the south slope and begin your ascending way up accompanied by our expertly trained guide. On your way to the top of the hill you will explore the fundaments of ancient Athens;
-The theatre by visiting one of the very first theatres of humanity, the theatre of Dionysos and the still functioning Odeon of Herodes the Atticus and -The medicine by visiting the ancient hospital, the sanctuary of Asclepius and Hygeia. The classical architecture will come to life as you reach the Propylaea, the monumental gate leading to the complex of temples on the very top of the Hill. You will visit the temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheum with the Porch of the Caryatides in the distance and of course, the symbol of the classical architecture, the Parthenon! You will then have a walk to the New Acropolis Museum. Along the way you are going to admire the neoclassical architecture of some of the most high-end residences in Athens. On the ground floor of the museum your guide will get you acquainted with the customs and traditions of the ancient Greeks up until the middle ages. On the first floor you will focus on sculpting and the masterpieces that would decorate the top of the hill for several centuries, including the -always stunning- Caryatids.
